Kelly had surgery on his foot yesterday from 245p-6p. Went to recovery about 8p. He had a pie-shaped piece cut out of hid tibia, replaced with some type of wedge. He also has 2 pins, 2 plates, and 5 screws put in. He is doing well after a bad night of restlessness and a hateful nurse. He is in quite a bit of pain and the morphine doesn't seem to help at all. More pain meds and he is able to get a few z's for a short period of time!  I hope this surgery was for the best and takes the pain away from his last surgery!!!

I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.  Hoping also for a speedy and full recovery for Kelly.  As far as the hateful nurse goes, go over her head and complain about her so that the next person doesn't have to deal with somebody like her.  Best wishes Kelly.  Sometimes we don't always understand why we are faced with the struggles in life that are placed before us, but the true measure of our character is how we face those challenges head on and deal with the obsticles before us.  You're doing great, keep it up  Wink

Hello and thanks folks.  I had one hateful nurse who is well not in good light anymore to say the least.  We all know the type of person out there who thinks doing anything is not for them and someone else can do it.  I had a nurse who refused to call the doc to get me meds so that I did not have to push a pain button every 10 minutes, the meds made me sick as well.  Lets just say I covered the bed and floor with stuff and she did not want to change the bedding nor me.  Great hospital I was at but one of the loser nurses out there!

Great treatment all in all and spent 3 days in the hospital and now I lay around the house with my foot up and just hurt!  2 plates, 2 pins, 5 screws and a wedge where there used to be bone is not a fun thing at this time.  Will be going to see the doctor on Tuesday for a follow up and to get a real cast put on the leg.

Thanks gals/guys and to Natalie for taking such great care of me.
